With a strong focus on safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement, the business supports a large, diverse workforce across multiple sites and states.

About the Role

This is an HSE Business Partner role supporting operational sites locally and interstate, with a strong focus on partnering leaders and driving practical safety outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with site and operational leaders to drive a strong, practical safety culture;

  • Provide strategic WHS advice across multiple sites, both locally and interstate;

  • Lead the implementation of national WHS strategies, frameworks and action plans;

  • Coach leaders and frontline teams on legal obligations, risk management and safe systems of work;

  • Support and oversee incident investigations, audits and corrective actions;

  • Analyse safety data and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities;

  • Support contractor safety management and performance across sites;

  • Contribute to safety reporting, presentations and leadership updates; and

  • Support injury management, RTW and workers compensation activities in collaboration with key stakeholders.

About the Candidate

You’re an experienced Health & Safety professional who is confident operating in complex, multi-site industrial environments. You’re commercially minded, credible with senior leaders, and known for your ability to influence without authority.
 
You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Health & Safety within heavy industry, construction, resources or similar environments;

  • Strong experience partnering with operational leaders across multiple sites;

  • Proven capability implementing WHS management systems and risk programs;

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;

  • Confidence working autonomously while collaborating with a broader national team; and

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to safety.
