About the Role + Responsibilities
We are looking for a People Partner to join a high-performing People, Culture & Talent Branch. This is a temporary generalist HR position perfect for someone looking to elevate their career by partnering with senior leaders and ministerial offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnering: Build effective relationships with leaders to deliver practical HR solutions that align with departmental goals;
End-to-End Support: Manage various aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment processes and organisational structure maintenance;
HR Advisory: Act as a point of contact for the HR shared inbox, providing accurate and timely advice on policies and frameworks; and
Operational Excellence: Use HR systems to maintain data integrity, role clarity, and position information.
What Experience You’ll Need to Apply
This role suits a motivated HR Generalist or an Advisor ready for a "step-up" opportunity.
Relationship Management: Strong ability to influence stakeholders and foster collaborative professional relationships;
HR Systems & Policy: Proficiency in navigating HRIS and the ability to interpret complex policies into plain-language advice; and
Adaptability: Experience managing competing priorities and a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
What You’ll Get in Return
Competitive hourly rate of $62 – $68 + super. True hybrid working arrangements with no set office days and an open approach to flexible discussions.
This is a temporary contract starting 4th May 2026 (or ASAP) through to 7th August 2026.
