We are excited to partner with a leading Queensland developer, looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their high performing team as the Business continues it’s high growth phase.

Reporting to the Head of People, this is a broad senior HR role combining strategic input with hands-on delivery. You will be the senior HR practitioner across the business, providing trusted advice to leaders while taking ownership of key HR initiatives from development through to implementation.

With a clear objective of becoming an employer of choice, you will have the opportunity to influence culture, employee experience and the effectiveness of the HR function.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of the HR function, ensuring quality and consistency across HR outcomes including managing a team of 4;

  • Provide practical and commercially considered advice across employee relations, performance, conduct, grievances, conflict and workplace investigations;

  • Coach and support leaders to confidently manage their people responsibilities;

  • Maintain and strengthen HR policies, procedures, systems and documentation, ensuring legislative compliance;

  • Identify and manage emerging people risks, providing recommendations and appropriate mitigation strategies;

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance and exit processes;

  • Contribute to initiatives focused on engagement, wellbeing, recognition, retention and culture;

  • Partner with Finance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR and payroll information;

  • Use workforce data, employee feedback and HR insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities; and

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen HR practices, systems and the employee experience.

About you

You will be an experienced HR professional with substantial experience in a senior HR advisory, generalist or HR management position. You will bring strong technical HR capability, contemporary knowledge of Australian employment legislation and demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations matters through to resolution.

You will also bring:

  • Team leadership experience essential;

  • Strong judgement and confidence when navigating complex or sensitive people matters;

  • Proven experience coaching leaders and developing HR team capability;

  • The ability to translate People strategy into practical, measurable outcomes;

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence and respectfully challenge;

  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset;

  • A genuine people-centred approach and commitment to creating a positive employee experience; and

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline is highly desirable, with relevant HR qualifications or memberships also well regarded.

This role will suit an HR professional who enjoys ownership, variety and influence and wants to play a key role in strengthening both the HR function and broader employee experience.
