The organisation fosters a supportive and collaborative culture, with a strong emphasis on care, integrity and professional development. The in-house Legal team plays a critical role in managing legal risk and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel, this role will see you provide timely, pragmatic and high-quality legal advice across a diverse and often sensitive portfolio of matters.
Key responsibilities include:
Advising on personal injury, discrimination, family law and national redress matters;
Supporting broader commercial, property, privacy and IP issues;
Managing and preparing litigation matters, including briefing external counsel;
Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements and legal correspondence;
Interpreting legislation and case law to provide clear, solutions-focused advice; and
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders across a large and decentralised organisation.
This is a broad, impactful role offering exposure to complex legal issues and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational outcomes.
About You
You are an experienced lawyer who enjoys working across a varied practice and is confident navigating sensitive and complex matters.
You will have:
3-5 years’ post-admission experience in personal injury, discrimination and / or family law;
Strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver practical, risk-based advice;
Excellent drafting skills across a range of legal documents;
Experience engaging with senior stakeholders in a large or complex organisation; and
You will also be someone who is values-aligned, collaborative and motivated by contributing to an organisation with a strong community focus.
