We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join their collaborative Learning & Development team responsible for designing, developing and implementing engaging learning solutions that support organisational capability and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and commercially minded learning professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, transforming complex information into engaging learning experiences, and leveraging modern learning technologies to deliver meaningful outcomes.
The Role
As an Instructional Designer, you will lead the development of new learning programs while enhancing and maintaining existing learning offerings. Working closely with subject matter experts, leaders and key stakeholders, you will design innovative learning solutions that support adult learners across a diverse workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
Consulting with stakeholders to identify learning needs and define learning objectives;
Designing engaging learning solutions for both online and facilitator-led delivery;
Developing learning materials including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, assessments and learner resources;
Creating compelling learning experiences through storytelling, visual design and learner-centred methodologies;
Reviewing and improving existing learning content to maximise effectiveness and learner engagement;
Managing content development projects from concept through to implementation;
Testing and deploying learning solutions within the Learning Management System (LMS);
Working with external vendors and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) where required; and
Leveraging digital learning tools and emerging technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
To Be Successful
Demonstrated experience in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or a related role within a complex organisation;
Proven ability to design, develop and evaluate engaging adult learning solutions across both digital and face-to-face learning environments;
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse business groups;
Experience developing learning materials, technical documentation and managing learning projects from concept through to implementation;
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools such as Storyline and Rise 360, and the use of AI tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to analyse, translate and synthesise large volumes of information into learning content; and
Strategic, analytical and highly organised, with strong problem-solving capabilities and experience delivering learning solutions aligned to business and capability outcomes.
