We’re partnering with a highly secure Defence-related environment to recruit an experienced L3 Team Lead.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining Level 3 support responsibilities with the leadership of a small team. The successful candidate will act as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues while ensuring exceptional service delivery across a critical client environment.
This position is fully onsite and will require regular travel between Sydney CBD and Winston Hills.
The Role
You will be working closely with end users, stakeholders and third-party vendors, you will be responsible for maintaining a stable and secure technology environment while leading a small support team.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing onsite Level 2 and Level 3 technical support;
Acting as the primary escalation point for complex incidents and service requests;
Leading, mentoring and supporting a small team of engineers;
Managing user onboarding, offboarding and end-user training;
Supporting infrastructure, applications and end-user computing environments;
Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and end users;
Coordinating with vendors and third-party service providers;
Managing hardware lifecycle, asset management and technology refresh activities;
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and technology enhancements; and
Managing incidents, requests and changes through established ITSM processes.
About You
You are an experienced technical support professional who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities. You have strong customer engagement skills and thrive in environments where service quality and responsiveness are critical.
You will bring:
Previous experience in a Level 3 Support, Senior Support Engineer or Team Lead capacity;
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across Microsoft environments;
Experience supporting users in complex corporate environments;
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
Ability to work autonomously while fostering a collaborative team culture; and
Previous MSP experience will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
Australian Citizenship is mandatory due to security; clearance requirements
Valid Australian Driver's Licence;
Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain); and
Ability to travel regularly between Sydney CBD and Winston Hills.
