This is an appealing opportunity for a Senior Associate-level lawyer who enjoys technical legal work, building better ways of working, and having a broader impact beyond a traditional fee-earning role.
This role sits within a national specialist employment, industrial relations and safety practice with a recognised market profile. Public rankings describe the firm as a specialist employment practice with deep expertise across industrial and employee relations, giving this role a strong platform and genuine credibility in the market.
Working closely with a senior knowledge leader and a national partner group, you will help drive the firm’s internal knowledge function across research, precedents, learning, legal operations and market-facing content. The role also has a clear innovation angle, including support for precedent strategy and the use of generative AI tools.
The role will include:
Legal research and internal knowledge updates;
Developing and maintaining precedents and work product;
Supporting lawyers across the national practice;
Contributing to learning and development initiatives;
Managing legal and AI product subscriptions;
Assisting with knowledge and vendor-related projects; and
Helping produce high-quality market-facing content.
This is likely to suit a lawyer at Senior Associate level, around 6+ years PQE, with a background in employment, industrial relations and/or safety and regulatory law. You will bring strong communication skills, sound judgement, a collaborative style and an interest in improving systems, knowledge sharing and legal capability across a practice group.
What makes this role compelling is its breadth. It is not a pure PSL position and not a standard fee-earning path. It offers the chance to work across knowledge, learning, innovation and profile-building in a nationally recognised specialist practice. That combination will appeal to lawyers who still want intellectually strong work, but with a different kind of influence and career path.
