Looking for your next step with a firm that backs its people? This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit, hardworking Workers Compensation team as part of a well-established national law firm, known for a strong, supportive network among its legal support staff.

You'll work closely with a Partner and Special Counsel, alongside a Legal Secretary, in a team known for handling complex claims across in work injury damages and recovery matters. It's a varied, fast-paced role where you'll be trusted to help keep things running smoothly for major Australian insurers.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing new matters from opening through to archiving;

  • Coordinating diaries and appointments for the team;

  • Communicating with clients, courts, tribunals and other firms;

  • Preparing court documents, including subpoenas and tender bundles;

  • Drafting routine correspondence;

  • Putting together briefs for barristers and experts;

  • Handling both digital and physical filing; and

  • Assisting with monthly billing.

Please note, this role is not suitable for law students.

What we're looking for

  • Around 2 years' experience working in a busy private practice environment;

  • Strong time management and organisational ability;

  • A sharp eye for detail and accuracy;

  • Confidence using legal practice management and billing systems;

  • A can-do, problem-solving mindset; and

  • A real focus on providing great client service.
