We're recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join a national Public Law team in Sydney CBD. This is a newly created role due to growth within the team, working on high-volume litigation. Our client is a national mid-tier law firm that has been growing rapidly, and it's a great place to gain exposure to a wide range of practice groups and lawyers.
How the team works
This practice runs on a hub model. You'll be part of a group of Legal Assistants working together, sharing the load, covering for each other, and keeping a high-volume litigation practice running smoothly. If you like the energy of a team environment over a solo support role, this is worth a look.
What you'd be doing
Monitoring multiple shared inboxes;
Opening and closing files;
Fielding phone calls and matter enquiries;
Scheduling appointments, court events and diary management;
Filing and serving documents; and
General administrative support across the team.
Who we're after
This role would suit someone earlier in their career:
At least 1 year of admin experience within a law firm;
A genuine interest in litigation;
A client-focused, professional approach;
Strong organisational and communication skills;
The ability to juggle competing deadlines without dropping the ball;
Confidence using Microsoft Office; and
Comfortable working as part of a team rather than in a silo.
What's on offer
Hybrid working with 1-day WFH;
Salary package up to $95,000 dependent on experience;
Discounted health insurance, gym and studio discounts across Australia; and
An Employee Assistance Program and a strong focus on well-being.
