What is the role?

As a Legal Assistant within the Disputes team, you will provide high-level administrative and legal support to a busy team of lawyers, assisting with the day-to-day management of a varied disputes practice.

  • Manage complex diaries, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements;

  • Prepare, edit and format legal documents and correspondence;

  • Assist with matter and file management, including electronic filing;

  • Manage billing, time recording and monthly billing processes;

  • Coordinate court, meeting and client deadlines;

  • Prepare briefs, presentations and other documentation as required;

  • Liaise with clients, counsel, experts and other external stakeholders; and

  • Provide proactive day-to-day support to Partners and lawyers.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience supporting Partners and/or senior lawyers;

  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail;

  • Confident managing competing priorities in a busy environment;

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with legal systems; and

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
