An established national professional services firm is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join its collaborative Melbourne-based Insurance Litigation team.

Supporting a team of experienced legal professionals, you will play a key role in ensuring matters are managed efficiently while delivering exceptional service to clients.
The Opportunity
Working across a range of insurance-related matters including financial lines, employment practices liability and health-related claims, you will provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to multiple fee earners across varying seniority levels.
This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with approachable leaders who encourage professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
Managing electronic and physical files from opening through to archiving;
Preparing correspondence, court documentation and legal documents;
Coordinating briefs to counsel, medical professionals and external experts;
Monthly billing, reporting and debtor management;
Diary coordination, meeting scheduling and travel arrangements;
Maintaining high client service standards across all interactions; and
Providing general administrative and team support as required.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant within insurance litigation or a similar practice area;
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
Experience using practice management, billing and document management systems;
A proactive and dependable approach with strong attention to detail; and
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
Both full-time and part-time arrangements will be considered.
