The legal function is recognised internally as a trusted advisor and key partner in the company’s strategic direction.
The Role
Working as part of a lean and high-performing legal team, you’ll provide legal and governance support across the business. Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will:
Advise on a range of legal issues including contracts, compliance, regulatory, property, tax, employment, strategy, IP, finance and privacy matters;
Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements and documentation;
Support the implementation of corporate governance and compliance frameworks;
Contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives and policy development;
Assist with company secretariat responsibilities and liaise with regulators and external legal advisors including compliance with ASX Listing Rules;
Provide legal input on strategic projects, innovation partnerships, and business development activities; and
Build relationships with international and external stakeholders.
About You
To thrive in this role you will have:
At least 5 years’ post-admission experience, ideally with a background in corporate and commercial law;
A Bachelor of Laws and current Australian legal practising certificate;
Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills;
Previous experience in an ASX-listed company;
Confidence working across a wide range of legal matters with sound judgement;
The ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and influence commercial outcomes; and
A pragmatic and curious mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
