Looking for your next move in lending, but want something a little different from traditional banking?
We’re partnering with a specialist Australian lender in the reverse mortgage and home equity space, helping older Australians access the equity in their homes to support retirement, family, aged care and lifestyle needs.
They’re looking for a Lending Specialist who enjoys having real conversations with customers, building trust and taking ownership of the journey from the first enquiry right through to settlement.
The Role
You’ll work across direct and referred leads, getting to know each customer, understanding their needs and helping them navigate the lending process.
You’ll be responsible for:
Speaking with and qualifying new leads;
Building genuine relationships with customers;
Converting enquiries into full applications;
Managing customers through the application and settlement journey;
Keeping on top of follow-ups and your pipeline;
Working closely with Credit and Operations to get deals across the line;
Providing a patient, empathetic experience for older customers; and
Ensuring everything is handled within the relevant lending and compliance requirements.
About You
You might be a Mortgage Broker, Lending Specialist, Home Lending Specialist or Lending Consultant looking for a different kind of opportunity.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in lending, mortgage broking or financial services;
Holds a Cert IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking – essential;
Enjoys the customer and sales side of lending;
Is confident managing leads and converting opportunities;
Communicates naturally and builds trust easily;
Is patient, empathetic and comfortable dealing with a range of customers; and
Is organised and enjoys working with a structured CRM and pipeline.
Experience with reverse mortgages, equity release, aged care finance or working with older Australians would be a bonus, but isn't essential.
Why this role?
This is an opportunity to join a specialist and growing lender where you'll have genuine ownership of your customers and the opportunity to build expertise in a really interesting niche of financial services.
There’s also an annual bonus and the opportunity to move onto a commission structure following probation, with hybrid flexibility available once established in the role.
If you’re a lending professional who enjoys the people side of finance and wants to do something a little different, I’d love to hear from you.
