About the Organisation

Fitness Cartel is one of Australia's fastest-growing health, fitness and wellness brands, operating 20 locations nationally and on track to expand to 60 clubs by 2030. Founded just 6 years ago, the business has quickly established itself as a market leader through its innovative and diversified offering, spanning premium fitness facilities, wellness and recovery services and an apparel and supplements range.

With multiple new locations currently in development and ambitious growth plans ahead, Fitness Cartel is entering a pivotal stage of its journey. Backed by a highly experienced leadership team and a founder with a bold vision for the future, the business is making significant investment in its people, systems and infrastructure to support continued national expansion and build a best practice people function for the long term.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Talent & Organisational Development Manager will play a critical role in building the learning, leadership and organisational capability foundations required to support Fitness Cartel’s continued growth. Joining at an exciting stage of the journey, this role will see you contribute to key people frameworks, partnering closely with senior leaders to assess the current landscape, identify opportunities for improvement and design practical, scalable solutions that strengthen capability, leadership effectiveness and organisational performance across the business.

  • Develop and deliver a talent and organisational development roadmap that aligns with the organisation’s growth plans and builds capability across all levels of the business;

  • Design and embed a structured learning and development framework that supports compliance, operational excellence and leadership capability, while ensuring programs are scalable, commercially focused and aligned to the organisation's growth agenda;

  • Build leadership capability through the design and delivery of leadership development programs, leadership frameworks, coaching initiatives and structured onboarding experiences for leaders;

  • Partner closely with subject matter experts and the national leadership team to identify capability gaps, strengthen workforce capability and develop practical solutions that support business performance;

  • Establish succession planning frameworks, career pathways and emerging leader programs to build internal capability and create strong leadership pipelines for the future;

  • Design and embed performance, remuneration and talent review processes that provide leaders with clear frameworks to set expectations, develop their teams and support high performance;

  • Support the implementation and optimisation of an LMS, while building scalable learning systems, processes and governance that support a growing national workforce; and

  • Work closely with subject matter experts across the business to embed learning, leadership and capability initiatives into day-to-day operations and create sustainable, long-term impact.

This is a rare opportunity to build rather than maintain, helping shape the future of Talent and Organisational Development within a business that is investing heavily in its people, leadership capability and long-term growth.

About You

You are a commercially minded Talent and Organisational Development professional who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys building capability, frameworks and processes that make a tangible impact. Equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to get things done, you bring the credibility, resilience and influence required to partner with senior leaders and help shape the next phase of organisational growth.

Most importantly, you are energised by growth, comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the opportunity to help build something exceptional. You enjoy working in fast-paced environments, take a pragmatic approach to problem solving and are motivated by the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on both people and business performance. You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience across Talent Management, Organisational Development and / or Leadership Development within complex, multi-site or rapidly growing organisations;

  • A track record of designing and embedding enterprise-wide people frameworks across areas such as performance, succession planning, leadership development, workforce capability and career pathways;

  • Strong organisational development and design capability, with the ability to assess current state, identify opportunities and design scalable solutions that support business growth;

  • Confidence operating in environments where not everything is built yet, with a genuine passion for creating structure, improving processes and building capability from the ground up;

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and build credibility across a broad range of operational and corporate leaders; and

  • Experience leading or contributing to HRIS / LMS implementation, change and transformation or people process improvement or redesign initiatives.
