With a strong Microsoft cloud foundation, the team delivers solutions across Microsoft 365 Azure and hybrid infrastructure.
As the business continues to scale, they are seeking a Technical Operations Lead to guide a high-performing engineering team and support ongoing client growth.
About the Role
This is a senior technical leadership position suited to an experienced Systems Engineer ready to move into or continue within an operations-focused lead role. You will oversee a team of four engineers providing technical guidance mentoring workload coordination and escalation support.
Responsibilities
Lead mentor and support a team of four engineers driving performance capability and delivery quality;
Provide technical escalation support and guidance to the team;
Manage and maintain cloud-hosted and on-prem client environments ensuring availability and performance;
Oversee the provisioning configuration and optimisation of infrastructure solutions;
Deliver and guide cloud migration and transformation projects;
Participate in pre-sales conversations and assist with technical scoping for new opportunities; and
Ensure best-practice processes documentation and standards are upheld.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Systems Engineer or Senior Engineer or Tech Lead capacity;
Strong understanding of Microsoft server environments Microsoft 365 Azure and SharePoint;
Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft-based hybrid environments;
Experience in a Managed Services MSP environment (essential);
Demonstrated leadership capability team lead mentoring or senior escalation experience;
Proficiency with firewalls routers and switches;
Broad systems and networking background; and
Current scripting automation capability.
