This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at the forefront of promoting Brisbane as a destination to live, work, visit and invest. You’ll play a key role in delivering creative, insight-led consumer marketing activity that drives awareness, engagement and visitation for our city.

The Opportunity

As Marketing Executive, you’ll join BEDA’s Destination, Marketing & Brand team and play a key role in bringing Brisbane’s brand to life, showcasing the city as a leading tourism destination.

Reporting into the Marketing Manager, you’ll help bring creative, insight-led tourism marketing to life, collaborating with teams and partners across Brisbane’s tourism industry and helping leverage world class major events to drive visitation.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on marketer who loves planning and implementing high impact  campaigns, thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to the growth of Brisbane’s visitor economy.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the implementation and day-to-day coordination of assigned tourism campaigns, including timelines, creative briefs, brand-aligned asset delivery, approvals and performance tracking;

  • Champion the Brisbane brand by ensuring all marketing activity aligns with destination brand guidelines and supports BEDA’s role as custodian of the Brisbane brand;

  • Coordinate and optimise content across social, website and email channels in line with destination brand guidelines and campaign messaging;

  • Monitor campaign performance and audience insights, using results to inform and optimise future marketing activity;

  • Build strong relationships with tourism and major event partners, stakeholders, agencies and suppliers to support campaign delivery and collaborative initiatives; and

  • Contribute to the development and optimisation of systems and procedures to ensure marketing administration is effectively managed across departments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or a related field with 3+ years’ industry experience;

  • Marketing experience across tourism, destination, events, brand or consumer-focused environments;

  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns across digital, content, promotions and activations;

  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;

  • Confident using campaign and audience insights to inform marketing activity and improve performance; and

  • Excellent communication and copywriting skills, strong attention to detail and experience using CMS platforms.

Why Join BEDA?

As Brisbane’s champion, BEDA works closely with government, industry and the private sector to grow Brisbane’s reputation and drive demand for the city.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on some of Australia’s most recognised destination and major event campaigns, helping shape how Brisbane is experiences by millions of visitors each year. From major sporting and cultural events through to city-wide tourism campaigns, your work will contribute to the growth and global reputation of one of the world’s fastest growing destinations.
