Job Details

This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned Office Manager ready to take real ownership of a large, complex office environment. You'll shape and lead operations across a well-established law firm in Sydney CBD, across multiple floors.

If you thrive on autonomy, enjoy solving problems before they arise, and bring strong leadership, operational and compliance expertise, this could be your next serious career move.

About the role

You'll lead a team of 7, including office assistants, an archiving assistant, receptionist, catering assistant, part-time admin support, and floating staff, keeping a busy, high-profile office running seamlessly. This is a varied role where your decisions and leadership will have real, visible impact.

You'll take ownership of

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team of 7, setting the tone for a high-performing, well-supported team;

  • Managing office budgets in partnership with senior leadership;

  • Acting as the key point of contact for building management, including occasional after-hours availability;

  • Owning the new starter experience, from IT set-up to induction materials to desk allocation;

  • Leading ISO audit readiness across the business, ensuring the office is always compliant and audit-ready;

  • Overseeing secure offboarding processes, including access and pass management; and

  • Navigating a broad range of compliance and operational responsibilities with confidence.

About you

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar senior Office Management role;

  • Experience gained within a larger, multi-site or corporate environment;

  • A confident, mature leadership style, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and make sound decisions independently;

  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced setting;

  • A hands-on approach, comfortable being across the detail as well as the big picture; and

  • Legal or professional services experience is highly regarded, though not essential.

What's on offer

  • A senior leadership role with autonomy and influence;

  • A supportive, professional environment within a well-established firm; and

  • The chance to build and develop a loyal, high-performing team.
