We’re partnering with a well-regarded commercial law firm in the Sydney CBD to recruit an experienced Office Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the “go-to” person in the business, keeping things running smoothly, supporting a close-knit team and playing a key role in the overall daily operations of the firm.

This role sits at the centre of the practice, working closely with Partners, lawyers and support staff. You’ll have ownership, autonomy and the ability to genuinely shape the office environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Reception and Office Services functions to ensure efficient daily operations;

  • Oversee compliance requirements, insurance renewals, and maintain key firm registrations;

  • Act as the primary contact for building management, office security, and facilities matters;

  • Manage office supplies, equipment, meeting rooms and kitchen facilities;

  • Liaise with external payroll and accounting providers, assisting with payroll; and

  • Build strong relationships with vendors and negotiate cost-effective solutions.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys variety and ownership in your role. Ideally, you will bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an Office Manager or similar operations role;

  • Experience in a law firm (highly regarded but not essential);

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;

  • Excellent organisation and the ability to juggle competing priorities;

  • High attention to detail and sound judgement; and

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office; exposure to legal systems is an advantage.
