The Client

Our client plays a key role in supporting Queensland’s circular economy, working with suppliers, operators, and community partners to reduce waste and maximise recovery outcomes.

What’s on Offer

  • Exposure to multiple business areas and a broad stakeholder group;

  • A role with genuine community and environmental impact;

  • Supportive, multicultural team with a positive and high-energy culture;

  • Competitive salary on offer;

  • Brisbane CBD location; and

  • Start date: ASAP.

The Role

With a supportive, high-energy culture and a commitment to continuous improvement, our client is expanding their operations team and seeking a data-driven professional to strengthen their reporting capability and operational efficiency.

You’ll join a diverse team and work with leaders who value collaboration, initiative and fresh thinking, stepping into a newly redefined role designed to uplift and modernise the organisation’s operational data maturity.

In this position, you’ll play a key part in creating new reporting systems, dashboards and processes, working closely with both the data and operations teams to understand requirements, collaborate on solutions and embed improvements across the business.

Key areas include:

  • Analysing operational and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities;

  • Building new systems and reporting structures where none currently exist, ensuring fit-for-purpose tools that support informed decision-making;

  • Developing dashboards, insights and models in partnership with the data team;

  • Working closely with the operations team to understand real-world logistics movements (e.g., truck routes, supplier networks) and optimise them;

  • Establishing meaningful KPIs and reporting frameworks;

  • Supporting contract compliance and annual reporting through data insights;

  • Reconciling and validating datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability;

  • Contributing to strategic projects, tenders, forecasting and re-contracting; and

  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operational performance.

About You

You’re someone who thrives in environments where you can build structure, create solutions and work closely with multiple teams to lift operational performance.

You will bring:

  • Strong data and analytical capability across forecasting, modelling and reporting;

  • Experience creating dashboards and reporting systems (PowerBI helpful; Dynamics or similar also suitable);

  • Background in logistics, supply chain, operations or manufacturing (preferred);

  • High attention to detail with strong data validation and reconciliation skills;

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both data and operational stakeholders;

  • Track record of delivering process or system improvements;

  • Ability to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations;

  • Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving and professional communication skills;

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications – Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics or similar (preferred but not essential); and

  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card.
