Due to internal promotion, this opportunity exists for an experienced Operations leader to step into this well-established financial services organisation.
 
Leading a team of approximately 15 across Investment Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of high-volume administrative operations.
 
This role will have a strong focus on workflow and capacity management, process improvement, prioritisation and ensuring the team consistently delivers accurate and timely outcomes.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage daily workflow, capacity and competing priorities across the team;

  • Allocate work and resources to ensure service levels and deadlines are consistently achieved;

  • Monitor team output, productivity, quality and turnaround times;

  • Understand fluctuations in supply and demand across investment administration and proactively adjust resources and priorities;

  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement practical solutions to improve operational efficiency;

  • Review, document and continuously improve processes and procedures;

  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory obligations (inc: APRA, ASIC, AML/CTF regulations);

  • Work closely with key stakeholders across Investment Services to understand upcoming requirements and resource needs; and

  • Provide strong people leadership, coaching and performance management while building a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

You will be an experienced operational leader who enjoys managing teams and creating structure within busy, high-volume administrative environments.
 
Ideally, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a sizeable administration, operations or processing team;

  • Strong workflow, capacity and resource management experience;

  • Experience within financial services, investments, funds management, superannuation or a similarly complex environment;

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory environment, and compliance requirements relevant to Australian Financial sector;

  • Proven experience identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing process improvements, including the development and documentation of procedures; and

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
