We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead workshop and field operations across multiple sites. You will drive efficiency, implement process improvements, and ensure high-quality outcomes in heavy repair, reclamation, and refurbishment services. 
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee repairs, reclamation, and refurbishment activities, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery;

  • Plan and manage on-site teams for industrial shutdowns and emergency projects;

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, operational costs, and identify efficiency or revenue opportunities;

  • Act as the main operational contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and service excellence;

  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics for workshops and field operations;

  • Maintain safety and quality standards, including technical governance; and

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams while promoting a strong safety culture.

About You

  • 5–8 years’ experience in operations or site leadership within industrial or heavy repair services;

  • Strong knowledge of welding, wear repair, or refurbishment processes;

  • Proven experience managing field teams and industrial shutdowns;

  • Experience with ERP/work-order systems and operational KPIs;

  • Trade or tertiary qualification in engineering, operations, or related field preferred;

  • Welding inspector/procedure knowledge and Cert 10 advantageous;

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills; and

  • Strategic thinker with practical implementation ability and excellent communication.
