Job Details

A boutique personal injury law firm is creating a new Operations Manager role to bring more structure and consistency across its support function. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step up, lead people, and be closely involved in how the firm runs day to day.

The firm has a dynamic but well-structured culture, with clear processes, transparency, and a strong team mindset. It’s a high-performing environment where people genuinely support one another. A core value of the business is acting with compassion, particularly when working with vulnerable clients, and this role plays an important part in supporting both the team and the people they represent.

You’ll lead the internal admin function and manage an offshore team of four administrators. A shared inbox sits at the centre of the work flow, and you’ll oversee how work is delegated, prioritised, and delivered.

The role

This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong operational focus. You’ll work closely with internal teams to improve processes, lift consistency, and support the smooth running of the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting the onshore admin team and offshore support team;

  • Managing work flow through a shared inbox and delegating work appropriately;

  • Overseeing performance, quality, SLAs, and compliance;

  • Improving processes, structure, and governance across the support function;

  • Supporting invoicing, billing coordination, and budgets;

  • Streamlining onboarding and maintaining operational documentation; and

  • Acting as a key internal point of contact across internal teams.

About you

This role suits someone who enjoys leading people and improving how things are done. You may be stepping up from a senior legal support, paralegal, or operations role and are ready for more ownership.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in operations or legal/professional services support;

  • Confidence leading people, including remote teams;

  • A practical, organised, and process-driven approach;

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams;

  • A calm, empathetic style when dealing with sensitive matters; and

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills and confidence picking up new systems.

Why consider it

  • Newly created role with real scope to make an impact;

  • Clear structure and strong leadership support;

  • High-performing, collaborative, and transparent culture; and

  • Career growth as the firm continues to expand.
