The Role
Lead national payroll across NSW and QLD in a complex, unionised environment. Based in Port Botany, you will oversee end-to-end payroll for a blue- and white-collar workforce of 500 employees, managing enterprise agreements, compliance and payroll transformation.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring technical expertise, strong governance and the ability to optimise Chris21/Kronos while preparing for future system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end national payroll delivery;
Ensure compliance with EAs, awards and legislation;
Oversee complex backpay and payroll governance;
Optimise Chris21 and Kronos systems;
Improve payroll processes and controls;
Deliver reporting, reconciliation and audits;
Partner with HR, Finance and operations;
Lead and develop the payroll team of two direct reports; and
Support future upgrades and transformation.
About You
Senior payroll leadership experience;
Strong Chris21 and Kronos capability;
Expertise in awards, EAs and compliance;
Experience in unionised, complex environments;
Systems optimisation or upgrade exposure;
Strong governance and attention to detail;
Excellent stakeholder management; and
Hands-on, resilient and solutions-focused.
