About the role 
 
This is a fixed term opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer with testing experience to support large-scale payroll system builds and changes. The role focuses on ensuring payroll configuration changes are tested thoroughly, risks are identified early and payroll outcomes remain accurate and compliant.

You’ll be hands-on across test case design, execution and reporting, working closely with payroll, industrial relations, IT and systems teams.

Collaboration across payroll, finance, IR and technology teams is key to how work gets done**.** 
 
Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test cases for payroll system changes and enhancements;

  • Execute test scripts across payroll configuration and industrial instruments;

  • Validate system changes to ensure accurate payroll processing;

  • Record, manage and track defects through to resolution;

  • Provide regular test progress updates and completion reporting;

  • Support user acceptance testing and final sign-off; and

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ end-to-end payroll experience in a complex environment;

  • Strong, recent hands-on experience with SAP payroll systems;

  • Solid understanding of payroll configuration, testing and award interpretation; and

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage testing and system changes accurately.
