About the Role

An exciting contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a friendly and supportive payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll using Chris21. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and has previous experience processing payroll in a high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end payroll processing using Chris21;

  • Maintaining accurate employee payroll records;

  • Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments;

  • Interpreting Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts;

  • Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders;

  • Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with legislative requirements;

  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting; and

  • Supporting the wider payroll team with ad hoc tasks as required.

About You

  • Previous experience processing end-to-end payroll;

  • Demonstrated experience using Chris21 (essential);

  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements;

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;

  • Strong communication and customer service skills;

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team; and

  • Available to commence at short notice or within a reasonable notice period.

In this role you will be working within a team reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, offering flexible working arrangements within a supportive, high-performing environment
