About the role:
Titles Queensland is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its People & Culture team in Brisbane on a two-year contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
You’ll also support payroll compliance, reconciliations, reporting, employee enquiries and payroll-related projects. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, enjoys working with stakeholders and is confident managing payroll from start to finish.
2-year fixed-term opportunity or permanent are available, with candidates open to either arrangement encouraged to apply.

How you will contribute:
Own the end-to-end processing across two payroll cycles;
Process new starters, employee changes, terminations, allowances and adjustments;
Complete payroll reconciliations and pre- and post-payroll checks;
Review payroll outputs and investigate and resolve discrepancies;
Manage leave payments, salary sacrifice and other payroll transactions;
Prepare payroll reporting and assist with STP, superannuation and audit requirements;
Provide timely support to employees and leaders, working closely with Finance and HR; and
Contribute to payroll projects, system improvements and better ways of working.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years’ end-to-end payroll experience;
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation;
Strong understanding of payroll compliance and governance;
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
Confident working with employees, leaders and key stakeholders;
Practical, proactive approach to resolving payroll issues; and
High level of integrity when handling confidential information.
