**About the Opportunity

**This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and proactive HR Manager or Business Partner to take ownership of the day-to-day HR function within a purpose-driven organisation making a real difference in the lives of children and young people. Working as part of a small, close-knit team, you’ll be both strategic and hands-on - managing everything from recruitment and compliance through to employee relations and culture initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and the chance to shape best practice HR in a values-led environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily HR operations across two service streams, ensuring compliance, consistency and care;

  • Provide practical advice and support to leaders on performance, employee relations, and workforce planning;

  • Lead WHS governance and employee wellbeing initiatives, with a focus on proactive risk management;

  • Oversee the delivery of end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities, while taking a hands-on role in hiring for more senior and/or complex roles;

  • Maintain and develop HR policies, procedures and frameworks to align with legislation and organisational values; and

  • Partner with leaders to foster a positive workplace culture that supports professional growth and employee engagement;

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources, psychology, or similar;

  • Demonstrated HR generalist experience working in the human services sector with an understanding of the SCHADS Award;

  • High level of emotional intelligence, with the interpersonal skills to interact, engage and influence a variety of stakeholders; and

  • Personal attributes that balance alignment with organisational values with strong commercial acumen.
