**About the Organisation
**
This privately owned, high-growth organisation provides expert advocacy support to veterans navigating the DVA compensation claims process. Their work has real impact – helping clients access the entitlements they deserve through a service model built on quality, integrity and results. With a fully remote national workforce, they’ve built a culture that is agile, accountable and genuinely people focused. High standards, continuous improvement and service excellence sit at the core – balanced with a supportive, down-to-earth environment where collaboration, energy and even a bit of fun are part of how they operate.
About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, this newly created People & Talent Advisor role offers the opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on position with genuine scope to grow. You’ll support the full employee lifecycle across talent acquisition and generalist HR, contributing to a high-performance culture in a business that truly values its people function.
With direct access to the Head of People & Culture and exposure to more complex people initiatives, it’s a genuine next-step opportunity that keeps recruitment at its core while building your broader HR capability.
End-to-end high-volume recruitment – managing advertising, screening, shortlisting and reference checks to sure quality hiring outcomes;
Talent pipeline development & process improvement – building future talent pools and identifying smarter, more efficient hiring practices;
Employment contracts & onboarding coordination, supporting a positive employee experience from offer through commencement;
HRIS management & data integrity – maintaining accurate employee records and supporting reporting workflows;
First point of contact for Tier 1 HR queries – providing timely, practical advice to employees and leaders; and
Supporting core HR initiatives – assisting with performance management cycles, training coordination and policy updates.
About You
This role would suit a capable HR Officer or Coordinator who genuinely enjoys recruitment and is ready to broaden their generalist exposure without stepping away from hands-on talent acquisition, or an experienced Advisor who has decided that flexibility and culture is their primary motivator. You’re someone who takes ownership, thrives in a hands-on environment and genuinely cares about delivering work to a high standard. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Proven HR experience, ideally within a small or growing team where you’ve been exposed to a broad range of activities that required strong prioritisation skills;
Demonstrated recruitment capability, with confidence managing high-volume processes while maintaining quality and candidate experience;
A high level of accountability and initiative – you’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do and takes pride in seeing things through;
Exceptional attention to detail, with experience working in compliance-driven environments where accuracy and process integrity are critical;
Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset – you ask questions, look for better ways of doing things and genuinely want to grow your capability; and
A commitment to quality and impact – you care about the standard of your work and understand how strong people practices contribute to broader business performance.
Benefits and Culture
Step into a newly created role with the opportunity to shape it and make it your own, in an environment that values fresh ideas and continuous process improvement;
Work directly with the Head of People and Culture, an exceptional leader who is practical, hands-on, supportive, and willing to mentor you;
Be part of an organisation that genuinely cares about outcomes for both its clients and its people;
Work with an energetic, passionate team where people are excited to contribute to an organisation with growing impact;
Enjoy the flexibility of a fully remote business, built on trust and accountability; and
Make a meaningful impact in an HR function that’s just getting started and open to your influence.
