We’re proud to be partnering with the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) to recruit a Principal Project Officer (HRIS – Aurion) for a critical implementation.
About the Commission
The Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) is Queensland’s independent integrity agency. The CCC works with public sector entities to prevent, detect and respond to serious misconduct and corruption and is committed to rigorous governance, data security and public value. You’ll join a capable HR team supporting approximately 360 employees during a significant systems change.
The Opportunity
Working within People & Culture, you will lead and coordinate the delivery and implementation of payroll-as-a-service using Aurion (People & Payroll Solutions). Acting as the HR stream’s day-to-day project lead, you’ll collaborate with the HRIS/Aurion project team and the internal CCC project team to configure workflows, assure data quality and validate outcomes through testing. This role blends hands-on HRIS configuration with operational change—perfect for a payroll SME who enjoys translating policy into working processes.
Highlights of the role
Represent HR in project governance, workshops and decision forums;
Own HR stream activities: system & workflow configuration, UAT, and release readiness;
Map and improve business processes; drive data audit, cleansing and migration;
Translate change into practice: refresh procedures, forms, templates and staff comms; and
Provide payroll subject-matter advice (state wage case, EB increases, pay rules).
Required Experience
You’re a payroll systems specialist with practical Aurion administration experience and the confidence to guide an HR function through change. You balance technical depth with operational judgement and clear, concise communication.
What you will bring
Demonstrated Aurion (or similar enterprise HRIS) administration/configuration experience;
Strong payroll SME capability in government/statutory contexts (EB application, wage cases, allowances);
Hands-on experience in business process mapping, data audit/migration and user acceptance testing;
Ability to convert system change into procedures, templates and staff communications; and
Stakeholder skills to coordinate HR, project and vendor teams; clear written reporting.
Benefits
A rare opportunity to deliver a whole-of-agency payroll modernisation in a high-standards environment. Enjoy a competitive hourly rate, a defined project window (with extension options tied to implementation milestones), and the chance to shape enduring HR processes and controls within a well-resourced People & Culture team.
Contract & Compliance
Contract period: Start December 2025 (flexible to accommodate preferred candidate availability and CCC vetting timelines) to June 2026; extensions available in line with project timeframes;
Pre-employment: CCC personnel vetting for shortlisted candidates (current processing time ~10 business days); and
Information security: The CCC operates under ISMF/IS18:2018 and ISO 27001 Annex A controls. You’ll be expected to work within these frameworks.
