Our client, a national organisation within the education sector, is entering a significant phase of growth and transformation. They are seeking an accomplished integration leader to oversee the alignment and transition of a recently acquired business.
Reporting to the C-Suite, this role will lead the design and delivery of the integration strategy, uniting people, systems, processes, and culture to achieve strategic and financial outcomes. Leading a team of six, the Program Director will work across all major corporate and operational functions to ensure a cohesive and effective integration program.
Key Accountabilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive integration framework that supports strategic business goals;
Lead a centralised integration office, coordinating activities across Finance, HR, Technology, Operations, Legal, Property, and Communications;
Translate acquisition plans into clear deliverables, performance measures and reporting dashboards for executive oversight;
Work closely with Finance to identify, monitor and deliver synergy targets, ensuring tangible financial outcomes;
Oversee planning, timelines and resource allocation across multiple workstreams to maintain progress and alignment;
Establish strong governance and program controls to manage risk, scope and change effectively;
Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to the executive team and board on integration progress and performance; and
Lead initiatives that support cultural alignment, engagement and retention across the combined workforce.
Experience & Capabilities
Extensive experience in leading complex post-acquisition integrations or large-scale transformation programs across multiple sites or geographies;
Strong background in organisational change, program governance and stakeholder engagement at senior levels;
Sound understanding of operational, financial, HR, IT and legal integration considerations;
High level of financial acumen and a disciplined approach to program delivery; and
Relevant tertiary qualifications and formal program or project management credentials (e.g. PMP, MSP, PRINCE2).
