This role sits within a large Queensland public sector infrastructure environment that supports frontline operations across a broad portfolio of facilities. The team is focused on improving operational effectiveness, strengthening processes and delivering coordinated initiatives that support service delivery across Queensland.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (AO7) to support the investigation, planning, coordination and delivery of initiatives across an operational advisory stream. This role works closely with senior management, operational teams and internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements, support project delivery and ensure initiatives are implemented effectively and on time.
This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple initiatives, managing stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement in a complex public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
Investigate and analyse operational requirements and project opportunities;
Plan, coordinate and monitor projects from initiation through to delivery;
Support the review, development and implementation of improved processes and procedures;
Work closely with operational advisors and senior stakeholders to ensure clear objectives and realistic timelines;
Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, risk registers and progress reports;
Assist with stakeholder engagement and communication activities;
Identify risks and issues, escalating where appropriate and proposing practical solutions; and
Contribute to continuous improvement of project and operational practices.
About You
You will bring proven experience in project coordination, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.
Key capabilities include:
Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project management;
Strong planning, organisational and time management skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Experience supporting or driving process improvement and change initiatives;
Ability to analyse complex information and provide practical recommendations;
Proficiency in project documentation, reporting and Microsoft business systems; and
A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
Qualifications & Requirements
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in project management, business administration or a related field;
Experience within government or large, complex organisations is highly desirable;
Ability to undertake interstate travel as required; and
A current Blue Card is mandatory.
