About the Organisation
Queensland Health is responsible for the strategic leadership and operation of one of Australia’s largest and most complex public health systems. The Corporate Services Division supports Hospital and Health Services through the delivery of enterprise corporate applications, payroll, finance and workforce management systems. The division operates at statewide scale and delivers services that are accountable, secure and operationally critical to frontline health services.
About the Project
The Integrated Workforce Management program is a long running, statewide transformation initiative focused on improving roster to pay processes across Queensland Health. Stages 1 to 3 have already been delivered, primarily covering nursing and midwifery cohorts.
Stage 4 extends the program to remaining occupational groups and involves the rollout of a single, integrated electronic rostering solution, replacing a range of legacy and third party systems. The program is well governed and delivered using an established methodology with defined phases, repeatable implementation gates and standardised toolsets.
The initial contract period for this role will focus on delivery at Gold Coast University Hospital, which will be a key implementation site. This assignment will require a strong on site presence for the duration of the implementation. As the program progresses, the role may be assigned to additional Hospital and Health Services across southeast Queensland or regional locations in line with the rollout schedule.
About you
You are an experienced Project Implementation Manager with a strong background delivering ICT enabled business change in large, complex organisations. You are comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams and working within structured delivery frameworks rather than greenfield environments.
You bring a disciplined, practical approach to delivery, with the ability to apply established project management methodologies and transfer those skills across different sites and operating contexts. You are confident engaging with senior stakeholders, operational leaders and end users, and can balance local delivery needs with statewide standards and program objectives.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Proven experience delivering large scale ICT enabled business change projects;
Strong leadership and people management capability across multidisciplinary teams;
Experience working within established delivery methodologies with repeatable phases and gates;
Ability to operate effectively in highly visible, on site delivery environments;
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills;
Availability to work predominantly on site at Gold Coast University Hospital during the initial assignment; and
Willingness to travel or undertake further site based assignments as required.
Experience in workforce management, rostering or payroll environments will be well regarded, however candidates with strong transferable delivery experience from other complex ICT programs are encouraged to apply.
