u&u Recruitment Partners are pleased to partner with a growing ASX-listed financial services group based in Melbourne. Our client is seeking a Project Legal Counsel to lead the legal workstreams for a high-profile strategic alliance project with a major wealth platform.
This role requires strong experience in financial services, wealth management and complex commercial transactions. It will oversee transaction documentation, product distribution arrangements, platform integration and regulatory matters across a complex, multi-stakeholder implementation program.
Reporting to an experienced Chief Risk & Legal Officer, key daily responsibilities include:
Coordinating legal workstreams across the alliance, product distribution and platform integration arrangements;
Providing clear, commercially focused legal advice to senior executives;
Providing financial services regulatory advice to business stakeholders through the negotiation, documentation and implementation phases; and
Managing external counsel.
The role will suit a senior financial services lawyer (6+ years’ PQE) with strong experience in wealth management, superannuation, investment products or platform-based distribution arrangements.
A proven capability leading complex transactions in a fast-paced environment will be highly regarded.
