u&u. Recruitment Partners are partnering with a regional council in Northeast Victoria to recruit an experienced Project Manager to oversee the construction phase of key community infrastructure projects.

This is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to contribute to major community hub and pavilion upgrades.

About the Role

You will lead end-to-end construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to council standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to meet project milestones;

  • Monitoring progress through regular site inspections and resolving issues proactively;

  • Managing contracts, variations, procurement, and compliance with council policies;

  • Ensuring all works adhere to WHS requirements, building codes, and environmental regulations;

  • Preparing clear project updates and reports for senior management and council committees;

  • Facilitating communication with project teams, community groups, and key stakeholders; and

  • Implementing risk management strategies and addressing challenges as they arise.

What We’re Looking For

  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or similar;

  • Demonstrated experience in project and/or construction management;

  • Proven success delivering Capital Works projects to time, budget, and quality standards;

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; and

  • Local Government experience (highly regarded); and

  • Current driver’s licence.
