Our client is a well-established organisation within the emergency services sector, committed to supporting communities across New South Wales. With a collaborative and people-focused culture, they play a vital role in delivering essential services and are seeking an experienced Recruitment Officer to join their high-performing Talent Acquisition team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Recruitment or Talent Acquisition professional to join a busy internal recruitment team on a long-term contract through to December 2026, with the possibility of extension. Supporting a diverse portfolio of roles, you will partner closely with hiring managers to deliver end-to-end recruitment while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with recruitment policies and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment across a high-volume portfolio of vacancies;

  • Provide recruitment advice and support to hiring managers and candidates;

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and onboarding;

  • Maintain recruitment systems, databases and reporting to ensure data accuracy;

  • Prepare recruitment metrics and workforce reports;

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and recruitment projects;

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and deliver exceptional service; and

  • Ensure recruitment processes align with relevant policies and legislative requirements.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience in an internal Talent Acquisition or Recruitment role;

  • Experience managing high-volume recruitment, ideally within Government or a highly regulated environment;

  • Strong understanding of merit-based recruitment principles and best practice recruitment processes;

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms;

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;

  • High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities; and

  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a positive recruitment experience.
