The Opportunity
An established and highly regarded automotive finance organisation is seeking a Sales Performance & Development Manager to join their commercial team.
This role sits close to senior sales leadership and offers a unique opportunity to analyse sales performance, contribute to commercial strategy, and support key initiatives that drive business growth.
You will gain broad exposure across sales analytics, finance products, pricing, and dealer network dynamics, while working closely with teams across strategy, product, pricing and sales. The position is designed as a development pathway for commercially minded professionals who are looking to grow into future leadership or strategy roles.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the sales leadership team by providing clear and structured reporting on sales performance, market activity, and emerging trends. You will work with data from multiple sources to build dashboards and reports that highlight opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement across the sales channel;
A key part of the role involves analysing performance metrics such as sales volumes, campaign effectiveness, conversion rates, and channel activity. Your insights will help the broader team understand what is driving performance and where improvements can be made;
You will also gain exposure to the organisation’s suite of automotive finance products, including consumer and dealer finance solutions. Working alongside product, pricing and brand teams, you will develop an understanding of how product design, pricing structures and dealer economics influence overall sales outcomes;
Beyond reporting and analysis, the role will also involve supporting a range of commercial initiatives aimed at improving sales processes, campaign performance, data quality, and operational efficiency. You may assist in coordinating projects, tracking deliverables, and helping implement improvements that support both dealer partners and customers; and
As part of a highly collaborative environment, you will regularly work with teams across the business including sales leadership, strategy, pricing, and product management. The role also involves preparing presentations and briefing materials for internal stakeholders, helping translate data and insights into clear and practical recommendations.
About You
You are someone who enjoys understanding how businesses perform commercially and are naturally curious about what drives sales outcomes. You are comfortable working with data, enjoy solving problems, and are motivated to build a career within sales performance, commercial strategy, or business operations.
You will likely bring:
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with interest in further developing your analytical capability;
The ability to interpret data and translate findings into clear insights;
Strong organisation and communication skills;
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of tasks and projects; and
An interest in automotive finance, lending products, or dealer networks.
Experience
Over 3 years experience in roles such as sales operations, commercial support, business analysis, administration, or customer-facing roles;
Exposure to financial services, lending, automotive, or dealer networks is beneficial but not essential; and
Experience using CRM platforms or reporting / BI tools would be advantageous.
