Our client is a boutique practice known for providing clear, practical advice across the full range of commercial law matters. With an established sophisticated client base across FMCG, agriculture, R&D, manufacturing, technology and creative industries. What sets them apart is how closely they work with their clients – taking the time to understand each business and deliver advice that is direct, commercial and genuinely useful.
 
We're now looking for a like-minded senior lawyer to join them and share in that approach.
 
The Role
 
Work directly with the firm's partners and clients, managing a broad range of commercial matters with genuine autonomy.
 
Your day-to-day work will include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts;

• Advising on contractual, commercial and operational issues;

• Advising on consumer law, marketing and advertising;

• Preparing consultancy agreements, deeds of release and related documentation;

• Advising on governance, directors' duties and corporate matters;

• Supporting clients with commercial disputes, contract interpretation and risk management;

• Advising on intellectual property, particularly R&D arrangements and licensing;

• Guiding clients on privacy and regulatory compliance; and

• Building templates, precedents and practical tools for clients.

About You
 
You'll have 8+ years' PAE and be confident managing sophisticated commercial matters and client relationships independently.
 
Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills;

• Excellent technical ability and attention to detail;

• A practical, commercially focused approach to advice;

• Confidence dealing directly with senior stakeholders; and

• Sound judgement in identifying and managing commercial risk.

Experience in FMCG, food and beverage, agriculture or ag-tech is highly regarded.
 
You don't need to bring a client base. But if you'd like to keep developing your own practice, the firm is open to discussing a broader remuneration structure.
