We’re partnering with a large organisation undergoing a significant technology uplift and we’re looking for a strong Senior Azure Engineer who enjoys being hands-on while also contributing to architecture and design decisions. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to step beyond pure engineering and have real influence on how platforms are shaped and evolved.

The Role 
 
You’ll sit within a high-performing cloud team taking ownership of building deploying and optimising Azure environments while also supporting solution design and contributing to architectural standards. It’s a mix of delivery and design; perfect for someone who wants to bridge the gap between engineering and architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure across IaaS and PaaS;

• Support solution architecture including contributing to high-level designs and technical road maps;

• Implement scalable secure and highly available cloud solutions;

• Drive best practices across CI/CD automation and Infrastructure as Code;

• Collaborate with architects engineers and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions;

• Assist with governance standards and continuous improvement of the Azure environment;

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure;

• Proven experience in cloud engineering with exposure to design/architecture;

• Experience with IaC tools;

• Solid understanding of cloud security governance and best practices;

• Exposure to hybrid environments and migration projects; and

• Strong communication skills with the ability to contribute to design discussions.

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications (AZ-104 AZ-305 or similar);

• Experience working in complex or evolving environments; and

• Exposure to DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines;
