About the Organisation

My client is a prominent, large scale corporate organisation within the financial services sector. With a reputation for driving innovation and operational excellence, they are currently embarking on an extensive portfolio of work projected over the next two to three years. This diverse portfolio encompasses critical programs targeted at legacy technology remediation, lifecycle management and the delivery of advanced capabilities designed to achieve strategic business outcomes.
 
Role Overview

I am looking for a self motivated, energetic Senior Business Analyst for a 12 month fixed term engagement with a strong view to permanency.
 
Operating across the complete project lifecycle, you will bring a forward thinking approach to problem solving, utilising modern AI tools such as Claude for rapid prototyping and innovative solution design.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish robust working relationships with key business stakeholders, users, technical teams and vendors to manage expectations and define target outcomes;

• Requirements & Process Design: Work closely with users to formulate and document detailed business and functional requirements, using data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications;

• User Centred Design: Lead solution interface and process design by producing wireframes and solution mock-ups, iterating designs based on stakeholder feedback to ensure an optimal user experience;

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Contribute to the creation and execution of functional test cases and plans to ensure the absolute integrity and quality of delivered solutions;

• Continuous Improvement: Identify, evaluate and document process inefficiencies, recommending optimal business practices and high level solution designs to drive cost efficiencies; and

• Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive user and training documentation, conducting formal training sessions and providing ad hoc troubleshooting support as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience and deep knowledge of BPM modelling, methodologies and tools such as Visio, Jira and Confluence;

• Proven track record working across multiple project methodologies, specifically Agile environments;

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive stakeholders to deliver tasks on schedule;

• Strong background in modern user centred design practices, with essential practical experience in producing wireframes and solution mock-ups;

• Hands on experience developing and executing functional testing as part of solution implementation;

• Strong analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail; and

• Ability to thrive within a dynamic, high pressure corporate business environment, working effectively both independently and as part of multi functional teams.

Desired, But Not Essential

• Previous experience within the financial services industry or a solid understanding of financial services products;

• Practical experience with the implementation of software based solutions to support broad business needs;

• Sound knowledge of current ICT technologies and market trends; and

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, IT, or a related discipline.
