About the Role:

Join a highly successful, progressive, and fast-growing ASX-listed financial services group headquartered in Melbourne as their new Senior Credit Risk & Modelling Analyst.

This is a highly technical, strategic position within the Group Risk & Compliance team. This is not a credit assessment or application processing role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end building, optimization, and validation of Application and Credit Scorecards;

  • Design and maintain robust models focusing on core credit risk parameters: PD, EAD, and LGD;

  • Conduct continuous, incisive analysis of loan portfolio performance, evaluating macro/microeconomic indicators and borrower behavior to set risk appetite;

  • Calculate and report Expected Credit Loss (ECL) to project 12-month portfolio loss horizons and ensure accurate forecasting;

  • Recommend and influence changes to product lending policies, net margin pricing, and risk-mitigation strategies;

  • Work closely with cross-functional business units and participate directly/indirectly in credit committee assessments for new business opportunities; and

  • Leverage and enhance complex data mining capabilities to ensure seamless portfolio querying and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Direct, hands-on experience building credit scorecards and risk models;

  • A rock-solid understanding of Basel/IFRS 9 concepts (PD, EAD, LGD, and ECL);

  • Solid experience within the loans/lending space; and

  • High proficiency in data mining and statistical modeling tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, or R).
