Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, you will have the opportunity to influence key business decisions while improving forecast accuracy, inventory performance and overall supply chain outcomes.
About the role
As the Demand Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end demand planning process and ensuring accurate and effective forecasting across the business.
Key responsibilities
Lead the monthly S&OP process across Australia;
Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop and validate short and long-term forecasts;
Analyse demand risks, opportunities and forecast accuracy;
Identify trends, gaps and root causes impacting forecast performance;
Communicate demand requirements to Supply Planning and Shipping teams;
Monitor inbound shipments and support on-time, in-full order fulfilment;
Maintain accurate weekly demand plans within SAP IBP;
Manage inventory levels, safety stock and shipping lead times;
Drive strategies to reduce and deplete excess inventory;
Support phase-in and phase-out product planning;
Maintain accurate product and master data within SAP;
Prepare weekly stock, supply and demand reports;
Proactively identify supply and demand challenges and recommend solutions; and
Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and wider supply chain team on continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
5 + years’ experience across Demand Planning and Supply Chain;
Strong hands-on experience with SAP and SAP IBP — essential;
A deep understanding of SAP systems and demand planning processes;
Experience working within a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
Strong analytical and data-driven skills;
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and gaps;
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills;
Experience working across S&OP and cross-functional planning processes;
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities;
A proactive, self-motivated approach with a continuous improvement mindset; and
Relevant tertiary qualifications would be advantageous.
