Your new role
Local to Dandenong, your new role will see you reporting to the Engineering Manager, working 8:00/8.30am – 4:00/4.30pm. As the key driver of quality engineering outcomes across design improvement for new and existing products, you will be a highly valued member within the Engineering team. You will work on up to 10 projects at a time, and be committed to achieving excellence against strict customer and production-related deadlines.
Working with a large variety of automotive tier ones, you will be exposed to excellent practices, work with a large-scale engineering team of approximately 45 onsite, and be exposed to facilities onsite that allow for inhouse testing of prototyped solutions.

Your new role will see you;
Adhering to new product development aligned to approximately 50% of your role;
Responsible for providing accurate specs and designs to enable functionality, cost control and quality;
Project stakeholder management, and staying across customer and product strategic directions;
Coordinate with production engineering for processes, jigs & runs;
Cost optimisation, VAVE and Design review;
Ability to work across many projects and multitask in a fast-paced role;
Contribute to PPAP documentation accurately, and other related reporting & evaluation tasks;
Working with engineering-based programs like AUTOCAD & SolidWorks consistently; and
Paramount will be your commitment to OHS.
What you need to succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering;
Solidworks experience preferred, will consider other systems like Catia and Siemans NX;
Ability to work on multi-projects, with each engineer potentially having 7 - 10 in one instance;
Live local to Dandenong and surrounding suburbs and seeking an immediate, permanent opportunity;
Proven experience within the automotive industry will be viewed as highly valued; and
A team player, dedicated to deadlines, commitment to customer satisfaction and execution of excellence in delivery and the tenacity to achieve timely solutions.
