We are partnering exclusively with a national professional services organisation to appoint a senior HR Business Partner based in Melbourne. This newly created position sits at the heart of a business undergoing significant growth, integration and transformation, offering the opportunity to partner closely with senior leaders and shape people strategy during a pivotal period.
The Opportunity:
Following recent acquisitions and continued expansion, our client is strengthening its HR capability and establishing a dedicated senior HR presence in Melbourne. This is a true partnering role suited to a commercially astute HRBP who is confident operating at leadership level, enjoys working in complex, evolving environments, and wants to influence outcomes at both a strategic and operational level.
You will support a diverse national client group across corporate and operational teams, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while helping embed consistent people practices across a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior leaders to translate business priorities into forward-thinking people strategies across workforce planning, organisational design, change and capability uplift;
Provide high-level coaching and guidance to leaders on performance, talent and succession, underperformance management and building high-performing teams;
Support leaders through ongoing integration activity, driving consistency, alignment and strong employee engagement during periods of transformation;
Bring structure and maturity to processes, reporting and data integrity, identifying opportunities to improve systems, insights and ways of working in a developing environment;
Partner on strategic recruitment activity, role design and hiring decisions for key and senior positions;
Provide commercial advice on salary positioning, promotions, retention strategies and contribute to remuneration review activity; and
Lead complex ER matters, investigations and performance processes with sound judgement, ensuring compliance and consistency across the business.
About You:
7+ years’ experience in HR business partnering or senior generalist roles within professional services, consulting, legal, financial services or similarly fast-paced corporate environments;
Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing decision-making at a strategic level;
Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes;
Experience across organisational design, workforce planning, change and integration, talent development and complex employee relations;
Comfortable working in a growth environment where you can build, shape and improve people practices;
High energy, proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to challenge, influence and lead from the front; and
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.
