This is an opportunity to join a global law firm in the heart of Sydney's CBD, supporting two Partners in a niche and interesting practice area. Despite the firm's global footprint, the team has a real small firm feel, close knit, collaborative and supportive of the people within it.
One Partner travels internationally and requires a lighter touch, the other is Sydney based with a busy schedule that will keep you on your toes. If you thrive on variety, enjoy being the person everyone relies on, and take pride in running a practice with precision, this one is worth a look.
There is also a clear path here for the right person. As the team grows, there is real scope for this role to evolve into a Team Leader position, including mentoring and supporting junior legal assistants along the way.
What the role will involve:
Supporting two Partners across diary management, matter opening and compliance;
Managing end-to-end billing processes including complex, high-volume invoicing;
Maintaining accurate filing systems and up to date records;
Coordinating client events, expense reconciliation and case preparation materials;
Onboarding support for new starters and general office administration; and
Mentoring and guiding junior members of the team.
What they are looking for:
Previous experience as a Senior Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in a fast-paced environment;
Strong billing experience, particularly with complex or high-volume processes;
Highly organised with sharp attention to detail;
Proactive by nature, always thinking one step ahead; and
A polished communicator who is confident dealing with senior stakeholders at all levels.
Why this one stands out:
Competitive salary plus bonus scheme;
Flexible and family friendly culture with 1 to 2 days WFH;
Modern CBD offices with excellent facilities;
Global firm, boutique team feel; and
Exposure to interesting, niche work in a supportive environment.
