u&u Recruitment Partners are pleased to be assisting a global renewable energy (solar power, wind and energy storage projects) client as they look to hire a Senior Construction lawyer (Senior Legal Counsel level) on a contracting, daily rate basis. Extension until the end of 2026, at least.
Sydney location is preferred.
Role responsibilities will include:
Draft and negotiate EPC, O&M, equipment procurement and related ancillary documents for utility-scale solar projects;
Support project financing and asset management arrangements, including reviewing and amending key agreements;
Conduct contract reviews and due diligence for project and asset acquisitions;
Develop and streamline legal processes for contract negotiation and administration;
Review and finalise NDAs, master services and supply agreements;
Partner with development, construction, finance and asset management teams to provide practical legal advice and training; and
Ensure compliance with internal governance and approval frameworks.
You will work with the APAC legal team and work closely with colleagues in London, Spain, Italy, the US and Brazil. A significant pipeline of projects are scheduled for contracting this year, offering substantial exposure to complex, renewable energy developments and the opportunity to play a key role in delivering landmark projects to financial close and construction.
