Reporting to the General Manager Employee Experience, this role leads the design and delivery of an integrated employee experience and capability strategy. It shapes how employees engage with WorkCover across the full lifecycle, driving performance, engagement and workforce sustainability through human-centred, future-focused people systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define and deliver an enterprise-wide Employee Experience and Capability strategy aligned to organisational goals;
Design and continuously improve the end-to-end employee experience across the full lifecycle;
Embed key “moments that matter” to enhance engagement, inclusion and retention;
Establish and evolve leadership, learning and capability frameworks to build workforce capability;
Deliver enterprise-wide leadership development, onboarding and capability uplift programs;
Integrate employee experience initiatives with talent, performance, succession and workforce planning;
Lead employee listening strategies, translating insights into actionable improvements;
Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive alignment and business outcomes;
Use data, insights and evidence to inform decisions and measure impact; and
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team while overseeing governance, financials and operational delivery.
Ideal Candidate
A strategic, values-driven leader with deep expertise in employee experience and capability, who translates strategy into action, influences senior stakeholders and delivers measurable outcomes in complex, evolving environments.
Key Requirements for Success
Extensive senior leadership experience in employee experience, learning, or capability within complex organisations;
Proven ability to design and implement integrated people systems across the employee lifecycle;
Strong track record delivering enterprise-wide leadership and capability programs;
Expertise in capability frameworks, skills mapping and career pathway development;
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to drive engagement and performance outcomes;
Experience partnering with senior leaders to influence strategy and enable organisational change;
Strong commercial, financial and governance capability across large portfolios; and
Tertiary qualification in HR, Organisational Development, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (postgraduate highly regarded).
