Senior Paralegal – In-House Legal Team

The Senior Paralegal will immerse themselves in complex legal, commercial and compliance matters within a dynamic in-house team. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional seeking to broaden their expertise, contribute to high-impact projects and support initiatives of strategic significance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare reports, correspondence, and submissions for the General Counsel, legal team and stakeholders;
Conduct legal research and apply legislative knowledge to support risk assessments and decision-making;
Manage legal registers, contract execution and maintain templates, ensuring compliance and accuracy;
Support interactions with external counsel on registered intellectual property matters;
Oversee file management, including archiving, brief preparation, document coordination and administrative tasks;
Assist in developing and maintaining legal policies, procedures and monitoring legal expenditure; and
Perform other duties as directed by the General Counsel.
About You
You are an experienced legal professional with at least five years in a similar role, ideally within a commercial in-house or regulated environment. You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes settings and may have experience supporting boards, with exposure to intellectual property and patent matters.
Confident and highly professional, you communicate clearly and build strong relationships across teams. You are organised and detail-oriented, taking pride in producing accurate, well-drafted work while managing multiple priorities with ease.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related discipline, you are adept at navigating complex legal and compliance matters. Your proficiency with Microsoft Office, combined with the ability to apply legal knowledge practically, ensures you make a meaningful contribution to commercial and risk management initiatives.
General Requirements
Driver’s licence highly desirable;
Ability to attain and maintain Security Clearance; and
Permanent working rights and availability to work in Australia.
