Our client is a well-established, purpose-driven community services organisation supporting vulnerable individuals and families across Queensland and South Australia. With a workforce of approximately 100 employees and multiple locations across Brisbane and Adelaide, they are known for delivering high-quality services, maintaining strong accountability and achieving meaningful outcomes for the communities they serve. Operating within a collaborative and relatively flat business structure, they are committed to investing in their people, empowering leaders, and continuously improving the employee experience.

**About the Opportunity
**
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised People & Culture professional to join a national team and contribute across the full employee lifecycle. Working under the guidance of the Senior People & Culture Business Partner in Brisbane, you will provide operational support across people, culture, workforce coordination and workplace health and safety activities, helping to ensure the organisation delivers effective, compliant and timely people services across Queensland and South Australia.

This role offers a diverse mix of HR advice, recruitment support, workforce coordination, WHS administration and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with operational leaders, payroll, external workforce providers and employees to support service delivery outcomes while maintaining compliance with organisational and legislative requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the delivery of People, Culture and Safety services across the employee lifecycle, ensuring activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with organisational requirements;

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities to support operational staffing needs across Queensland and South Australia;

  • Partner with leaders and external workforce providers to support workforce coordination, contractor management and workforce stability initiatives;

  • Assist with performance management, employee relations and people-related administration, ensuring documentation and records are maintained appropriately;

  • Support workplace health and safety processes, including incident management, return-to-work administration and compliance activities;

  • Maintain employee and contractor compliance requirements, including licences, probity checks, mandatory training and accreditation records; and

  • Contribute to reporting, audits and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workforce capability, compliance and service delivery outcomes.

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working in a hands-on People and Culture role where no two days are the same. You thrive in environments where collaboration, responsiveness and strong stakeholder relationships are valued and you take pride in contributing to high-quality people outcomes. To be successful, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR or People & Culture role, where you have supported the end-to-end employee lifecycle;

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of an organisation;

  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, modern awards and HR best practice;

  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities;

  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Workplace Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; and

  • A collaborative, adaptable and service-oriented approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable communities.

Benefits and Culture

  • Diverse and varied role spanning people, culture, workforce coordination and safety;

  • Opportunity to learn from experienced People & Culture professionals and partner with operational leaders;

  • Work close to home in Thebarton and avoid city traffic;

  • Supportive and collaborative team environment with opportunities to build your capability across P&C;

  • Flexible and supportive environment with a 76-hour fortnight and opportunity to accrue ADOs;

  • Collaborative, down-to-earth culture where ideas are welcomed and contribution is valued; and
