Orora provides market-leading sustainable packaging solutions for the beverage industry. They specialise in glass bottles and aluminium cans with manufacturing sites across Australia and New Zealand.

This Senior People and Culture Business Partner partners with the Cans Business Group to deliver strategic and operational HR support across multi-site manufacturing operations. You’ll drive cultural transformation, performance, and engagement, embedding best-practice HR solutions within a fast-paced, customer-focused beverage packaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Site Leadership Teams to deliver HR strategy and drive a high-performance culture;

  • Provide hands-on HR support and coaching to Operations and Functional Leaders;

  • Execute and provide input into the Cans HR Strategy aligned to broader business goals;

  • Lead enterprise agreement negotiations end-to-end, including bargaining and disputes;

  • Drive performance management practices and coach leaders on effective conversations;

  • Develop and implement succession planning and talent pipelines across sites;

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and hiring best practice;

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including survey insights and action planning;

  • Support and drive change management initiatives, including restructures and transformation programs; and

  • Ensure compliance across HR systems, policies, legislation, and workforce metrics.

Ideal Candidate

You are a commercially astute P&C leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced manufacturing environments. Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on, you build credibility on the ground while influencing senior stakeholders. You bring a strong IR / ER foundation and a passion for driving cultural and organisational change.

Key Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in HR or related discipline;

  • Proven HR experience, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or another fast-paced industrial environment. Experience in multi-site HR business partnering, managing multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and diverse operational needs. Strong industrial and employee relations background, including enterprise bargaining;

  • Demonstrated success delivering HR strategy within transformational environments;

  • Solid understanding of Australian workplace legislation and compliance;

  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to align HR with business outcomes;

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and negotiation skills;

  • Proven capability in change management and organisational transformation; and

  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and leadership capability.
