The Opportunity
An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Procurement & Contracts Officer to join a high-performing procurement function. In this role, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities and provide strategic advice across a diverse stakeholder group.
Working within a structured and policy-driven environment, you will be responsible for delivering procurement outcomes that align with organisational priorities, ensuring compliance, value for money, and effective contract management.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver end-to-end procurement activities from planning through to contract award;
Provide specialist procurement advice aligned with legislation and policy frameworks;
Lead tender processes, including documentation, evaluation, and negotiations;
Manage contracts, including performance monitoring, variations, and issue resolution; and
Build and maintain strong stakeholder and supplier relationships.
Required Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience managing procurement activities within complex environments, ideally within government or similarly regulated sectors.
We are looking for candidates with:
Proven government procurement experience (essential);
Strong experience across end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities;
Knowledge of government procurement frameworks, policies, and delegations;
Proven experience managing contracts and supplier performance;
Ability to provide clear, practical advice to stakeholders at all levels; and
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
